The University of Idaho is gearing up for its annual Take Back the Night event for Thursday, September 19th. The event kicks off at 8:00 pm with a rally held in the Agricultural Science building room 106, and a candlelight march around the University of Idaho campus proceeding the rally.
Take Back the Night is an annual event that is held for the University and community of the Palouse to raise awareness against violence and assault. It is put on in observance of September as national Domestic Violence Prevention Month and LGBTQ History Month. Sponsored by the UI Women’s Center and many other student and community organizations, the event is open for all to attend. The rally will include a special guest speaker and an educational information session. The candlelight march will conclude back at the Agricultural Science room 106 with refreshments for all and an open discussion.
